AJH
Motorcycle Training
INTRODUCTION
AJH
is a small training school based in Redhill,
Surrey offering all levels of training from CBT
to Advanced. The emphasis at AJH is on high
quality individually tailored instruction, with a
flexible approach.
Motorcycling
can be a hugely exhilarating experience, as well
as being a very practical economical form of
transport, but can have its dangers, so it is
important to get the best possible start with the
right training for you.
We
aim to get you up to the best standard we can
during your time with us, but also want the
courses to be fun - as the best reason to ride a
motorcycle is for enjoyment, with safety always
being of paramount importance.
We
aim to cater for each individual trainee's
requirements with a flexible approach to our
courses. We train in small groups with a maximum
of three people on CBT and two people for on road
training (including the A2 restricted course as
well as DAS).
We
use well-proven, well-maintained Japanese bikes,
and can supply helmets gloves and waterproofs for
no extra charge.
As
with all road training at AJH (especially DAS),
we try and take you above and beyond test
standard. We aim to give you as much experience
as possible of all types of situations - from
slower riding in urban and residential areas to
twisty narrow country lanes and onto faster open
roads during your time with us. The thinking
behind this is that when you take your tests
youll be able to deal with any situations
that arise, and that once youve passed you
wont panic the first time you approach a
sweeping bend on an A road!
Hopefully
this will also mean that the training experience
is as enjoyable as possible - we will definitely
NOT waste time teaching you test routes! Safety
will of course always be the top priority, and a
trainee will never be pushed beyond their skill
or confidence levels.
STAFF
AJH`s
owner and main Instructor is Andy Hyldon, who's
first experience of motorcycling at the age of 13
involved a Honda XR75 and an irrigation ditch in
Lincolnshire - and he's been hooked ever since!
He
passed his bike test at 17 in 1982, had 2
year-long spells as a long distance dispatcher,
has toured extensively throughout the UK and
Europe, and has passed both the IAM and ROSPA
advanced tests, the latter at Gold standard.
Andy
enjoys riding pretty much anything with 2 wheels
and an engine, from lightweight bikes, to
midweights, big sports bikes, Harleys and
everything in between - although his all time
favourite bike still remains his trusty `99
Fireblade.
Andy
has been a self employed full time professional
qualified CBT and DAS instructor, working for and
enjoying an excellent reputation with many
different training schools in the south east
since 1996.
